After-School Art Program
After school art is a free, drop-in enrichment program available to all Deer Hill students once a week. Every Monday beginning Sept. 21 at dismissal, students can come straight to the art room to draw, color, paint, or learn to knit. After-school art is over promptly at 3:10pm. All students must be picked up at that time, or in the case of walkers, are allowed to walk home. There is no registration for this program, and it is not necessary to send in a note to the child's teacher. Simply make sure to discuss in the morning with your child whether or not they are staying for the program, before they come to school.

FAQ
What does it cost?
Program is free Is it ever cancelled? Infrequently I might have a meeting where it necessitates the cancelling of after-school art. In that case the cancellation will be announced first thing in the morning and students would be given a chance to call home. *This rarely happens. I'm not sure I can pick up right at 3:10. Can my child wait for me? No, sorry. Pick-up MUST be prompt. Please keep in mind that the program is ongoing throughout the entire year and if a student can't make it one week, they can always come the next. There is no supervision after 3:10 and students are not allowed to wait on their own. |
